HPPS Manual
To successfully complete the Honours Programme Pharmaceutical Sciences and obtain your honours certificate, you must meet the ECTS requirements. All activities done for ECTS must be documented in a portfolio; the requirements can be found here.
Technically, the honours programme for Pharmacy (and also for CPS, as it is via CROHO currently registered under Pharmacy) consists of 45 ECTS, of which 15 ECTS are earned through extracurricular courses and 30 ECTS are honours-level courses within the curriculum. Pharmacy students and CPS students have different requirements, because the mandatory courses from the CPS major are marked as honours-level courses by default. This means that CPS students earn 15 ECTS in total (in relation to HPPS), unlike Pharmacy students. For both Pharmacy and CPS students, however, the total study program consists of 195 ECTS. Further elaboration on this can be found below, as well as an overview of the ECTS to be earned.
The ECTS are earned over (about) two years (starting from your admission to the program at the end of your first year in the bachelor) if you finish your bachelor nominally. Even if you do not finish your bachelor nominally, you are allowed to continue working on HPPS (as long as you are a bachelor student). Keep in mind that potential study delay is expected to be within reason (max. 1 year); if you have abnormally long delays, you may be contacted by the HPPS coordinator to discuss your progress and reasons for delay.
If you have any questions about the requirements for HPPS after reading the information below, feel free to contact the HPPS board (hppsboard@uu.nl) or the HPPS course coordinator.
